Our Solitary Art

You know you are lonely when you spend 10,000 hours alone. That’s us. Musicians spend thousands of hours alone—creating, interpreting and growing their skills. It’s how we find success. But is it healthy?

Whether you build instruments, practice, write articles, compose, paint or design stuff, you need to be alone to work at your highest level. There is no other way to be completely involved in what you do.

People need People

That’s how our brains are wired. And if you think about it—your final product aims to enrich other people’s lives.

When you need to be alone, BE. Create, express, live like an artist. But when you don’t need to, find people. Call, Skype or head to the bar.

As a musician, it’s easy to get used to loneliness and prefer it. Don’t let that happen!

Enjoy music conversations but also learn about how to fix life’s issues.

Solitary art? I don’t think so. Some alone time to bring your best and then share it with other beings?

That’s what I’m talking about.

For the empire,

CESAR AVILES
